The idea for EVE came from the notion of colliding PINOCCHIO with ET. And making him a girl. What if a humanoid robot escaped her creators and was adopted by a human family?
Wrote original pitch document. Secured interest from Sue Nott at CBBC. Attached writer Emma Reeves. Developed series pitch. Pitched to Damien Kavanagh and won script commission. Developed pilot episode with Emma and Jez Swimer. Worked with casting director Matt Western to cast lead roles. Interviewed and attached director Adrian McDowell. Co-produced two teaser / chemistry tapes. With Emma, secured greenlight from Cheryl Taylor. Script-edited on Series One. Secured Series Two and Three re-commission. Ran Writers Room with Emma. Series Produced Series Three working with producer Peter Gallagher and CBBC commissioner Amy Bushcombe across development, production, post and delivery. Secured multi-platform funding. Organised London Comic-Con panel.
